Peace Restored

Recently we rescued a kitten. Mittens was just a few weeks old. My first kitten. Our rescued 8 year old dog was a great Nanny. All was fine until Mittens got old enough to start hunting our bird Tweety. So this didn’t turn into a horror story, I reached out to Barbara, an animal intuitive. Within just a few hours Mittens changed. Very quickly all was again peaceful. We all learned how to share the space. Tweety gets to fly. Mittens watches the show from her back pack. Misty is happily enjoying them both. It seemed like magic.

Animal Communication Classes Level 1 and 2

I had the great pleasure to participate in Animal Communication Classes with Barbara Mariano who has over 40 years in healing work with animals and people. Since the classes, I have developed a deeper relationship with my pets.  The classes felt really healing on a personal level because of her ability to guide us and instill the confidence in knowing that we are born with this gift called intuition. It just needed guidance.    

Barbara’s guided meditations were a wonderful way to begin each class and the grounding exercises that followed created a safe space to “talk to the animals”.  If you don’t want take my word for it ask my dogs Poppy and Bacco, they would often come sit in circle with us to be a part of our classes.

We first met Barbara at a Grass Valley, CA, pet store where she was offering intuitive pet readings. At that time we had three dogs, two that were newly adopted. Our curiosity was piqued since we had never worked with an animal communicator before. We were interested in two things mainly: what background could Barbara offer on our newest dogs, Ben and Jerry, and would she be able to “get inside the head” of our older dog, Bailey, to let us know how she was feeling about our newest family members. What Barbara was able to tell us was invaluable. She led us to a better understanding of our newest dogs’ prior lives, what they were thinking and feeling, and how best to create a safe and secure forever home for them. In addition, she intuited what Bailey felt about our growing canine family and how to help integrate them. Barbara’s readings have been our guiding light for many years. Those three dogs I’ve mentioned are now at the Rainbow Bridge, along with two more successive dogs, Fiona and Elliot, both beloved rescues. The comfort and understanding that Barbara offered after each one passed brought us immeasurable peace.

Five years ago, we welcomed yet another rescue into our home, six-year-old Daisy. We naturally employed Barbara once again to do an intuitive reading on her. She guided us in helping Daisy overcome her fear of abandonment by giving her daily affirmations that reassured her she now had a forever home. With Barbara’s skill and deep connection to the animal world, she is able to “walk in the paws” (as she so accurately describes) of each animal to convey their thoughts, concerns, and fears so we humans are better able to meet their needs. From adoption to questions about how to integrate our dogs into their new environment to navigating our pets’ final days, Barbara has been an invaluable link between us and each pet who has graced our lives.

When Barbara did reiki on me for the first time, I felt a wonderful sense of calm and peace. I followed up with a reading.

I continued to enjoy her beautiful energy and her getting to know me. Since then, I have been blessed to learn reiki 1 and 2 from her.
